These are images from behind the scenes at the IRL Races at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, March 25 and 26, 2006.  If you're wondering why there aren't more pictures of the cars, it's because I'm into the technology.   You'll be seeing pictures of equipment behind the scenes.  TV broadcast, radio, fire safety, power, lighting.  I'm trying out my new camera, a Nikon Coolpix P2 with built in 802.11.  This allows me to upload the images to my computer without cables.  I'm using a Sprint EVDO card to upload the web site and images to my web site.

Now night time.   Shots around the track before and during the Grand Am Race.  I'm learning how to use this camera without flash so some of these shots will be blurred. 

As I arrived Sunday morning, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Air Rescue South was leaving with one of the drivers involved in a serious crash.  The mood is now very somber.
